    1. What is nitrile?
Nitrile is a synthetic rubber material that is extremely durable and characterized by high chemical resistance. It is today the most widely used material for disposable gloves. Nitrile gloves have higher puncture resistance than latex and are significantly more hypoallergenic as they do not contain natural latex protein. Despite their strength, nitrile gloves are also flexible and comfortable to wear for extended periods. They are commonly used in industries such as medical, food, industrial and cleaning thanks to their high elasticity, comfort and resistance to chemicals.

    2. What is a hybrid material?
The innovative hybrid material is a patented blend of vinyl and elastomer that combines the unique benefits of both materials. Elasticity and tactile sensitivity are similar to nitrile, and abrasion resistance and durability are higher than traditional vinyl.

Hybrid+ is a further development of our popular original hybrid glove. This new premium version is even softer and more elastic, i.e. even more similar to nitrile, with an outstanding fit and feel. "The good qualities of nitrile, at the lower price level of vinyl".

    3. What is vinyl?
Vinyl is a synthetic material, usually made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is popular for making disposable gloves. They are affordable, liquid resistant and have good chemical resistance, but are less elastic than nitrile or our hybrid gloves. Popular in a wide range of industries, they maintain hygiene and safety during use.

    4. What is the difference between Nitrile and Hybrid gloves?
Nitrile gloves are known for their high resistance to chemicals, punctures and abrasion. They are ideal for medical and industrial environments where high levels of protection and durability are required. Nitrile gloves are also latex-free, making them safe for people with latex allergies, and they offer superior flexibility and comfort during extended use.

Hybrid gloves, on the other hand, are made from a blend of synthetic materials that combine properties from both nitrile and vinyl. They are more cost-effective than pure nitrile gloves and offer balanced protection with good flexibility and abrasion resistance, but not as high chemical resistance and durability as nitrile gloves. Hybrid gloves are a good choice for lighter tasks and general applications where an extremely high level of protection is not necessary, but you still want better performance than pure vinyl gloves can offer.

In summary, nitrile gloves are best for more demanding environments and tasks requiring a high level of protection, while hybrid gloves offer a cost-effective solution for lighter tasks with reasonable protection and flexibility.

    5. What is the difference between Hybrid Gloves and Vinyl Gloves?
Hybrid gloves combine the advantages of different materials, made up of elastomer and vinyl, to offer better elasticity, comfort and chemical resistance than standard vinyl gloves. Vinyl gloves, made from PVC, are affordable and chemically resistant but less elastic and comfortable. Hybrid gloves are a good option for those who want a balance between price and performance.

    6. What is the difference between Nitrile Exam and Nitrile Sensitive?
The difference between Nitrile Exam and Sensitive Nitrile lies in the thickness of the gloves:

Nitrile Exam: These gloves are 3.5 grams thick and offer high quality and durability, which is suitable where long-lasting protection is important, such as in medicine, food and industry.

Nitrile Sensitive: With a thickness of only 3.0 grams, these gloves are lighter and thinner. They are designed to provide increased tactile sensitivity and mobility, suitable for situations where dexterity and sensitivity are essential.

The choice between Nitrile Exam and Sensitive Nitrile depends on specific application needs, with Exam optimal for higher protection requirements and Sensitive suitable for fine motor skills and sensitivity

    7. Will you bring in nitrile exam in more colors?
It is definitely a possibility that we expand our range of nitrile exam with more colors. We always welcome your requests and strive to meet our customers' needs. Feel free to contact us with specific color suggestions and we will take it further!

    8. What are your thickest gloves?
Our thickest and heaviest gloves are our Diamond Nitrile Gloves. Weighing 8g (size M), they are by far the thickest in our range. Their unique diamond structure offers optimal grip even in the toughest environments, both wet and dry.

    9. What is the difference between Nitrile Power and Nitrile Power Long?
The difference between Nitrile Power and Nitrile Power Long is mainly in their length:

Nitrile Power: These gloves are more robust and despite their thickness, they offer both protection and excellent tactility. They have a standard length.

Nitrile Power Long: These gloves have the same thickness and material as Nitrile Power, but they have a longer length of 29 cm, reaching up to half the forearm. This provides extended protection and coverage.

Both variants are made of nitrile, making them resistant to chemicals and other contamination, while the longer length of the Power Long provides an extra layer of protection for the forearm.

    10. When should I use nitrile gloves?
You should use nitrile gloves in situations where you need protection against chemicals, infectious agents and other hazardous substances. They are particularly suitable for medical use, laboratory work, chemical handling, cleaning and food handling, as well as other environments where high durability and protection against contamination are important.

    11. When are Hybrid gloves best?
Hybrid gloves are best for situations where you need both protection and dexterity, such as in environments with chemicals or infectious agents where precision is important. They combine properties from different materials for versatile use. Ideal for a wide range of industries including food and beverage, cleaning and healthcare.

    12. What are your most durable gloves?
At Amabilia Medical we put a lot of emphasis on quality and thorough quality controls in our production. When it comes to durability and robustness, our nitrile gloves are by far the most durable, with the Nitrile Glove Diamond leading the way. With a material thickness of 8.0g, they offer outstanding protective properties that are perfectly suited to demanding environments. Their nitrile construction makes them durable and resistant to chemicals and other potential hazards. Nitrile is an unrivaled material when it comes to disposable gloves, providing the user with an ergonomic design and high comfort during use. These properties make them a trusted choice in the medical and industrial sectors. We pride ourselves on offering products that meet high standards and live up to our customers' expectations in terms of safety and performance.

    13. Do your different disposable gloves differ in size?
Yes, there can be variations in sizes, mainly depending on the material. Nitrile gloves are generally more flexible than vinyl gloves, making them more stretchy. It is common to be able to go down a size in nitrile gloves, especially in the thinner variants. Vinyl and hybrid gloves can be perceived as slightly smaller in size compared to nitrile.

    14. I am a dentist. Which gloves should I order?
We recommend you try our Nitrile Exam and Nitrile Sensitive gloves when working intraorally. Both are thin and provide an extra tactile feel, allowing you to work unhindered and counteracting hand fatigue.

For the sterilization process and cleaning between patients, we recommend our Hybrid+ gloves. They are cost-effective and work well for cleaning tasks without the need for the extra durability of nitrile.

We are happy to send you samples so that you can test our products yourself before placing an order.

    15. I work in food handling. Which gloves should I order?
For food handling, we recommend nitrile gloves, especially for prolonged handling of fatty foods, as they are durable and comfortable. For high acid foods, hybrid and vinyl gloves are a better choice due to their resistance to acids.

    16. I work as a mechanic in a car repair shop. Which gloves should I order?
As a mechanic, you need thick and highly resistant gloves for optimal protection and ease of use. We therefore recommend:

      • Diamond Nitrile Gloves: These offer superior protection and optimal grip. Ideal for demanding work.

      • Nitrile gloves Power: These gloves are durable and can withstand heavy use.

      • Nitrile gloves Power Long: For extra protection and coverage, especially when working with oils and chemicals.

    17. I work as a cleaner. Which gloves should I order?
We recommend using both nitrile Exam and hybrid gloves for optimal ease of use and cost efficiency. Exam nitrile gloves offer excellent protection against chemicals and cleaning agents, while hybrid gloves provide good protection for less demanding tasks and help keep costs down.

    18. What is the difference between face masks and respirators?
Face masks and respirators serve different purposes and offer different levels of protection and are therefore adapted to different occupations and environments.

Mouthguards: Designed to protect the environment from the user's respiratory droplets. They have high bacterial filtration, but are not tight-fitting. Often used in public and healthcare environments to reduce the spread of infection.

Respirators: Designed to protect the user from inhaling harmful particles. They have high filtration capacity and are tight-fitting, creating a sealed surface around the nose and mouth. Used in work environments with high levels of air pollution and in healthcare to protect against airborne diseases.

    19. Is hand sanitizer still used after corona?
Hand sanitizer and hand disinfection are not only used during pandemics like Corona, but also in everyday life to quickly and conveniently disinfect hands when soap and water are not available. Alcohol-free hand and surface disinfectant has the advantage of being gentle on the skin and not drying it out as traditional hand sanitizer can do. It is effective against bacteria and viruses while not evaporating quickly, making it a good choice for both maintaining effective protection and nurturing skin health.

    20. What is the difference between alcohol-free hand sanitizer and hand sanitizer?
Our hand sanitizer is alcohol-free and gentle on the skin, thanks to ingredients such as Vitamin B5 and Aloe Vera that moisturize. It eliminates 99.999% of all bacteria and is highly effective against viruses such as Coronavirus, Norovirus and E.coli. A significant advantage is its long-lasting effectiveness, where the protection remains active without evaporating like hand sanitizer. This alcohol-free hand sanitizer is designed to preserve the skin's natural barrier and immune system, which distinguishes it from traditional hand sanitizers that can dry out the skin and thus impair its protective functions.
