Our history

As the world faced the unexpected challenge of the global COVID-19 pandemic, it was clear that protective equipment was no longer just an option - it was a necessity. Gloves, masks and disinfectants were suddenly in short supply, and the need was enormous - in healthcare, government, business and private life.

But in the midst of this crisis, many factories came to a standstill, production stalled and supply chains were disrupted. The challenges felt overwhelming, but that's when Amabila Medical was born - with a vision to ensure the availability of high-quality protective products, regardless of the world's stresses.

Through creativity, quick adaptation and tireless drive, we were able to engage reliable suppliers and establish a robust supply chain. We innovated, acted quickly and overcame obstacles that seemed impossible. As a result, we were able to deliver high-quality gloves and other protective equipment when it was needed most.

Today, years later, Amabila Medical is a trusted partner for governments, hospitals, dental clinics, pharmacies, the food industry, the cleaning sector and many more. By working closely with world-leading manufacturers like Intco, we ensure that our products are not only of the highest quality, but also produced with care for the environment and the people behind the production. Intco is certified to a range of international standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 - ensuring medical safety, quality, health and safety and environmental responsibility at every stage.

Our gloves are manufactured in Intco's state-of-the-art factories, designed to minimize environmental impact - from energy-efficient production to smart waste management. To reduce the carbon footprint, we transport the products by sea, where a single container can carry 3.5 million gloves. By choosing shipping, we drastically reduce CO2 emissions per glove compared to other transportation options.

But our responsibility does not end there. During the Ukraine crisis, we have continuously donated protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, to vulnerable areas - a concrete way to contribute where the need is greatest.

At our office in Sweden, we are also taking steps to reduce our environmental impact - with solar panels on the roof and fully electric company cars.
