At Amabilia Medical , we are committed to creating a sustainable future that is safe and healthy for all.

We focus on three main areas: environment and climate, human resources development, a sustainable way of working with openness to development and change.

Environment and climate action

Our business is based on minimizing our environmental impact and we always strive to reduce our carbon footprint at all stages.

We work with world-leading manufacturers such as Intco Medical Co Ltd, who exclusively manufacture our Amabilia Pro and Amabilia Safe gloves in their state-of-the-art factories built with environmental impact in mind. Intco is certified to the international environmental standard ISO 14001, as well as ISO 13485 for medical devices, ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

Intco strictly abides by China's labor laws, including minimum wage laws and laws on social insurance, protection and safety in the workplace, as well as the UN Global Agreement and UN human rights laws. Intco complies with the UN Convention Article 32 and the ILO's eight core conventions No. 29, 87, 98, 100, 105, 111, 138, 182. Independent accredited institutes continuously perform audits, Amfori BSCI audits, in Intco's factories.

We transport our products from Intco factories by sea freight. A 40HQ container holds 3.5 million gloves, and each container ship brings home around 20,000 containers per shipment, resulting in minimal CO2 emissions per glove.

Our partner factory Intco is also actively engaged in many different types of environmental work, such as 

  • Utilizes the factories' roof structures for the installation of solar energy systems and has built its own wind farms to promote renewable energy.

  • Only uses sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging materials that are FSC certified, ensuring responsible forestry.

  • Has planted over 7,000 trees on factory grounds to increase green space, improve the local environment and offset carbon emissions.

  • Implements energy-efficient LED lighting and high-efficiency motors to reduce electricity consumption and support sustainability.

  • Has introduced carbon-saving measures, including the use of low-sulfur coal and improved boilers for increased efficiency, reducing coal consumption.

  • Installing waste heat exchangers on boilers to recover heat in the plant and pipelines, reducing heat loss and the need for additional coal combustion.

 Sustainable working practices

Transparency and innovation are at the heart of our way of working, and we continuously implement new solutions that promote sustainability. Our office is equipped with solar panels and our official vehicles are electric cars, as part of our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint.

We require all our suppliers to be ISO 14001 certified to ensure they maintain global environmental and sustainability standards.

Innovation and production efficiency
We are constantly working on new innovations with a strong focus on sustainability and production efficiency. This includes developing smaller and more environmentally friendly lightweight packaging. To further reduce our environmental impact, we advocate that our customers and partners change their purchasing behavior, by placing larger orders less frequently, instead of smaller orders more often. This strategy helps to both reduce shipping costs and CO2 emissions, while improving logistics and inventory management.


Social responsibility and support to vulnerable areas
We are also committed to continuously sending donations of protective equipment, such as masks, gloves and various forms of disinfectant, to vulnerable areas in Ukraine. These efforts are part of our commitment to contribute to a better world.
